Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina urged the world to be united to face new challenges. He made this call by joining the opening ceremony of the second Voice of Global South Summit (VOGSS) held in India on Friday (November 17) virtually from Gana Bhavan.

He said, sanctions-counter-sanctions are affecting the South Asian region. Therefore, the Prime Minister presented 5 proposals to deal with the global crisis.
He also said that in addition to strengthening the country's economy, empowerment of women is necessary to face any crisis. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also said that South Asian countries have to cooperate with each other to achieve that goal.
This year's conference will be held in 10 sessions. Inaugural and Concluding Sessions will be held at the State and Head of Government level. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the conference.
Earlier, India hosted the first Voice of Global South Summit virtually from January 12 to 13 this year.
